alrighty, since this scene kid thing is such a fight, i'll add on. yes, i'm one of those 'scene kids' , yes i'm part of one of those tight weird groups , who listens to crappy music. but why does everyone care what we do? we're gonna express ourselves the way we want too, and you shouldn't judge us. my wardrobe, is like 40 band tee-shirts. skinny jeans, some boot cut, and yes vans. converse. but i still have a pair of those nike shox. i mean, we aren't as weird as you guys put us. we have our style , and so do you guys. you preps wear all hollister, all american eagle, any brand name. and we wear graphic tees and band shirts , what make us so different? what bothers us more, is for most of us, our music is our life. we do everything with our ipod in our ears. yes, i listen to some of those scream bands, and metal, alternative, but i also listen to nicer bands like mayday parade & go radio. you typical 'preps' listen to lmfao, lil wayne, bruno mars, lady gaga. but we don't judge you guys, as much as you judge us. you wonder why we are insecure to add people, & socialize with everyone. we get judged EVERYWHERE we go because of it. there's always those people that give us the dirty looks and everything. and no, we don't have sex with eachother. i know alot of people think since we're such a tight group we are bound to fuck eachother. i always found that entertaining.

Too be a member of a local scene or dress accordingly too the mainstream scene culture and well as defend you right to be this way by either fighting other scenes or crying about it. Usually they conflict with crust punks, metal heads, goths, preps, jocks and anyone who is better than a scene kid.

Someone who is a part of a underground scene one day, and later "jumps" to another scene. This is a common ocurrence between the underground punk rock scene and other styles of music such as "emo."
This is also commonly associated with being a poser, as in not being a true part of a scene or lifestyle.

Johnny is such a scene jumper. Yesterday he was listening to NOFX, but now he's all about Coheed and Cambria.
He's is such a poser. He used to dress "punk" and didn't even like the music, and now he listens to hip hop. What a scene jumper.

The most awful hairstyle you will ever set eyes upon. The girls normally have black hair (although brunette and white blonde is accepted) with a gazillion extensions and sometimes coloured streaks. They backcomb the top layers so it hangs out like a mile away from their heads and then clip in some extensions. Clips, bows, and headbands are normally added and sometimes they'll have a straight cut fringe.

Omfgzz hi,my name is posing scene slag.First off I just love to pretend Im bisexual because everyone else does and I cant be individual or different.
Every morning I put crap such as ribbons in my hair because its so emo.See emo is popular so Im emo.But when goth is the fashion again Ill be goth.Anyway after that I spend hours backcombing my hair so it looks like a giant bunch of pubes.After that I meet all of my "friends" who I actualy bitch about constantly behind their back because Im a two faced slag.I also have to wear lepoard print shoes like everyone else along with drainpipes that were actualy normal fitting jeans from when I was 7.See Im an anorexic STD carrying whore.
Then I have to flirt with everyone because I think it makes me look popular but I just look like a slag.Then I have a sip of cider and pretend to be pissed so that can be an excuse for fucking everything in sight.
When I get home I have to edit my myspace and write shit like "Im a fucking bitch deal with it" while listening to taking back sunday and panic!at the disco.Oh and of course all of my pictures involve me in nothing but my underwear so everyone can see my fat wobbly ass and my flat chest.

A teenage girl/boy who wears outrageously gaudy clothing and styles their hair to match that of a Dragon Ball Z character. Their bodies are adorned with many piercings that they will no doubt regret having later on in life, and annoyingly bright or dark bracelets and necklaces.
For some strange and incomprehensible reason, Hello Kitty seems to be another trademark of 'Scene', though how it refers to this conforming group is too foolish to be understood.
