The inconsistent, unpredictable quality of the shitting experience at roadside gas stations and highway rest stops.
Every person will encounter a broad spectrum in their lifetime, from the sparkling clean place that smells good, to the dark, musty smelling place with a pair of shitty underwear on the floor, a few gay sex propositions scribbled on the wall and a paper towel dispenser that hasn't been refilled since the Reagan administration.
The outdoor appearance of the building doesn't always reflect what the restroom will look like. Even if a bathroom has a good reputation, that can all change with one truck driver in a matter of seconds. It's 100% unpredictable, it's shit-or-miss.
Rod: "Okay, take this next exit, I am about to shit my pants."
Richard: "Okay Rod sure thing."
Rod: "Hurry up Richard, my stomach is really bubblin'."
Richard: "Okay Rod, what'll it be, the Shell station, or the Texaco?"
Rod: "Which one looks the cleanest?"
Richard: "The Shell station does, but you never know Rod, situations like this are shit-or-miss."
Rod: "Just hurry up asshole."

Judge: "Alright Frank, we all know that you are a chili genious. You have made the best chili in town for two years already. No doubt that this will be your third year."
Frank: "Indeed sir, this is my latest recepie that I sure hope will make everyone's taste buds dance and sing! Go on, have a taste!"
Judge: *gets a spoon and tastes Frank's chili* *gags in disgust* "Why I am very sorry Frank, but this chili is utter dog shit."
Frank: "Whaaat!?"
Old Lady: "Hey you Frank, have you seen my Fido around here? He's a large Great Dane and I have had a history of trouble keeping him on my leash. I am very sure I saw him right here. In fact, I even saw him climb up onto your stove and take a crap in your chili while it was still cooking!"
Judge: *suddenly feels very sick and loses his dinner all over the ground*

My dad was in the army for 24 years and my mom use to make this for him. I love the stuff. The navy uses chipped beef but I prefer the hamburger version.
Here is an official U.S. Army recipe for SOS:
CREAMED BEEF ON TOAST (SOS)
1/2 lb. ground beef
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
4 tbsp. sifted flour
1 cup evaporated milk
1 cup water
2 tbsp. butter
Brown ground beef in its own fat. Remove excess fat and save for making roux. Season with salt and pepper. To make roux, place 2 tbsp. reserved fat in double broiler or heavy pan. Slowly add sifted flour, stirring constantly over low heat until thoroughly blended. Cook for five minutes. Do not brown. Combine milk and water. Add butter and scald (not burn) in double broiler or heavy pan. Add roux to scalded milk, stirring constantly until thoroughly blended. Add meat mixture and cook about 10 minutes, or until desired consistency. Serve on toast.
