(Colorado dialect)
Yeet originated from the internet dancing in which the person would be dancing and suddenly swing their arms in body in a violent motion, exclaiming the word “yeet”. This slowly evolved into a word to exclaim when doing something random and/or sudden.
Ex: A boy in highschool was walking down a hallway and suddenly yelled “yeet!”, while he threw a pencil
You can notify someone that you are about to yeet by saying: “You know I/ya boy about to hit that YEET!”. The word does not mean anything, it is more of an exclimation of what is happening. It works to suprise someone in a humorous way. :
Person 1: “Hey dude”
Person 2: “What?”
Person 1: “Ya’ know ya’ boy ‘bout to hit that-“, person 1 does random act, “Yeet!”
yeet is used when a human (usually male) throws something really far, or when a male human does something really cool.
