Goin' across the river

Derived from a scene in Chapter 7 of the World War I novel "All Quiet on the Western Front" by Erich Remarque, the term "goin' across the river" means to have sex, as the three main characters must cross a river to visit French whores.

Courtney: Yo Tyler! Goin' across the river tonight?
Tyler: Heck yeah, we're going on a band trip!

Goin' John Mayer

To once having pretty good alternative music, but for no apparent reason just start making slow acoustic crap that no one likes. Includes making generic music videos of just sitting on a stool playing a guitar, and walking around a bit, with no destination in mind.

"Well one likes the music I'm playing, I'm Goin' John Mayer! People will have to like my music then!"

"Yea I doubt that."

how's she goin?

A term used primarily in Pictou County, Nova Scotia. At first glance it would appear that the user of this term is showing some interest in another's well being but this use couldn't be anymore erroneous. The main purpose of asking this quetion is to elicit any negative occurances in another's life to be later gossiped about by the community at large. To deter the negative intentions of this question all one must do is reply "not too bad" to avoid any further interrogation into their lives.

how's she goin?
"Not too bad, pass me one of them beers"
Improper use:
"How's she goin?"
"Well not too good, found the ol girl in bed with Doug's sister's brother in law"

Goin Darvin Ham

A play on the original acronym HAM, but to a more extreme effect..

1) To go HAM (hard as a motherfuc*er) so nasty, you are reminiscent of Darvin Ham's monster dunks.

2) Slam 'dunking' anything. Implication of goin-in hard.

*shout out to JM

1 - Bill on his bender last week slammed 3 cute girls, 5 fat girls, woke up in a barn twice, got a unicorn tramp stamp tattoo to win a bet, and at one point was found completely duct taped to a wall. The kid was goin Darvin Ham all week!

2 - "How'd things go with that girl last night? Did you go-in?

"Let's put it this way.. we were goin Darvin Ham all over the place. Broke her coffee table, faucet, bed frame, and apartment elevator! It was out of control

* may also be used with a project proposal at work, awkward serving of divorce papers, etc.
