Referring to Modern elements in design, art, and photography that reference and borrow from Vintage elements, or use vintage items interspersed within Modern.
My interior Design Style is Vintage Modern, I like mixing Vintage with Modern design.
Can very often be put in the text and has many uses both professional and sexual. The 'Modern Woman' has a job, not entry level, has done very well for herself and maintains or does not maintain a family. In the 1950's when the term first came to use, it was also a sexual saying. A modern woman can have as many romantic interests as she sees fit. The modern woman pursues affairs and is equal to the man when it comes to sexual partners. Marking the end of the 'nice girl era' in which women were only suppose to have one sexual partner as opposed to men, who could pursue interests of a sexual nature.
'You're a modern woman, you can have as many partners as you please"
"Wow Susan dresses nice, owns her own house, is sexy and sleeps around"

Something so twisted and odd that it has to change every year. Some things are deemed 'in style', and the populous instinctly follows like a mindless herd, no matter how bizzare or uncomfortable it may be. It's as if they have no sense of individuality anymore.
I see people in schools in my town, even children at the age of 8 are getting into this, wearing heels and shutter-shades, their daily attire seems like a costume, and here I am, a fellow female, in baggy jeans, sneakers and a hoodie. Their clothing seems so uncomfortable. Tight jeans and heels, or just leotards and a tee shirt. And it gets worse each year. Is this what our modern culture is coming to? And who exactly says that this stuff is in? Is there a department of "In" somwhere in the world? The Bureau of In, located in INdianapolis, INdiana? (No offense to you lot.)
I've ranted long enough.
Summed up, 80's fashion is back in buisness (shudder).
And guys clothing? Barely changing.
Modern Fashion = Skinny jeans, shutter shades, hipster glasses, leotards + Tee shirt combo, skirt hitched up around waist, feather-laiden jewelry, plastic, plastic, PLASTIC, heels, those silly rubber bracelets that are in the shape of animals...
The list goes on.

A Liberal who wishes to extend freedom in equality beyond White Males. Modern Liberalism help extend Freedom to Minorities, Women, ect. Modern Liberals champion Voting Rights, Workers Rights, Free Speech, Multiculturalism, the right to make health decisions without goverment or other groups offering a third opionion.
Modern Liberalism is the next Step in bring democracy to it's full potential.
Modern Liberalism is Pro-Freedom Alternative to Classical Liberalism.

a person of modern times who rejects established institutions and values and seeks spontaneity and escapism, direct personal relations expressing love and happiness, and an expanded consciousness. they often express their lifestyle externally by wearing casual, folksy clothing, such as: beads, headbands, tie dye, leather, used garments, goes barefoot often, etc.
a modern day hippie can, but is not expected to: go live in the woods for months or years at a time, not shower- or shave- for weeks on end, have long hair, smoke 10 Ibs. of weed every day, trip on LSD on a regular basis, or have sex with every friend they know.
She promotes peace, love, and happiness; wears her hand- made shoes and carries around her home- made purse and her favourite shirt is tie dyed and she's had it since fourth grade: she is your modern hippie.

Modern Jap
Modern in terms of art: contemporary styles of art, literature, music, etc., that reject traditionally accepted or sanctioned forms and emphasize individual experimentation and sensibility. All of the items posted on this blog, follow this definition because modern fashion comes from the mind of the brilliant designers behind the pieces, so the items are really just pieces of art emphasizing a designers experimental success. To us, modern means you are able to use these items to come into your own, and make your own fashion statement by creating an experiment, while using the experiment of others. You aren't afraid to contradict yourself, adding new to old, old to new, edgy to simple, and grunge to classy.
JAP simply means you are fortunate to live the life, of a princess, able to afford whatever one of these items, whenever you want it. You don't have to be jewish, or american, but JAP is a figure of speech. In Modern terms, it means you are a wealthy, fashion-lover out finish your experiment.
If you're reading this, you probably like experimenting with modern fashion, which makes you, a Modern Jap.
