the act of clapping because you feel bad for the person(s) you are clapping for. It starts out sounding like a slow clap.
Guy 1: did you go to the convention center to see the glue presentation?
Guy 2: Yeah, but there wasn't alot of people in the seats, and the ones who clapped gave a courtesy clap.
This sort of clapping is seen at churches, schools, business meetings, etc.

1) When you see some one you haven't seen in a while so you text them so you dont feel bad and your not being rude
2) When you get someones number and you text them for like a week and then just stop, so your not the jerk that "didnt text me"
1) I saw Joe at the mall so i sent him a courtesy text so he wouldnt think i was ignoring him.

When you are on an automatic flush toilet and you do #2, you must stand up to have the toilet flush.

The act of not playing Fifa like an asshole. This doesn't include:
- Scoring a goal and going all: OMG did you see that shit? We have to slow-mo it
- Opponent scoring a goal and while he's still celebrating or taking a victorious swig of liquor, making obscene noises and gestures, you rush through his defense like a faggot..
- You winning 8:0 when playing with someone and not backing down one bit
person1: Yo dude last night I was playing Fifa with X and he was being such a faggot the whole time I didn't even enjoy playing
person2: Yea bro I feel ya, that guy has zero Fifa courtesy.

The act of cleaning one's own mess (especially concerning personal hygiene) made in a public place, such as cleaning your hair out of the community shower or wiping "sprinkle" off the toilet seat, simply out of courtesy for the rest of the general public who have to use the utility after you.
Sharon always courtesy custodians her toothpaste out of the sink when she's living in the dorms.
I went to use the bathroom the other day to find a pube on the seat; people really need to learn how to courtesy custodian.
