One of the most overused, meaningless, and shittiest words used in our society today. Here are the posers:
1: Someone who tries to be something they're not. Ex. A goth who pretends to be a punk or vice-versa.
2: A shitty label for a band such as Good Charlotte. People who use this word on "poser-punk" bands have no idea that they are not posers, and even if they were, who cares? Being a poser has nothing to do with music. Real posers are singers/bands that claims to be something else.
3: A puzzling question.
poser = Avril Lavigne, Hilary Duff, Bowling for Soup
not a poser = Blink-182, Good Charlotte, Simple Plan
I listen to and enjoy ALL of the bands I just mentioned. Even the posers.

A word for people in high school who are idiots. They don't know what they are talking about, and when you ask them a name of a song from a band, they cry and cut themselves because they don't know what they are talking about.

a poser is someone who is tryhard and trys to be something they arn't!! For example when somebody hears a song on the radio for instand i write sins not tragedies by panic at the disco and starts saying OH I LOVE PANIC AT THE DISCO i say whats your favourite song they say oh i write sins not tragedies!!! that is soo poser like...they are trying to be like veryone else they have no idea what there other songs are but decide they love them cause ov there mainstream song on the radio!!!

1. Someone who does something they dont want/like to do to please people whether it be punks, goths or even preps. yes, preps.

1. Why is that prep trying to act like a hardcore person? What a poser ~or~ why is that hardcore person trying to be preppy? What a poser.
2. You can only tell if someone is a poser if you ask them if they like being hardcore or preppy or whatever. If they dont and they say they're only like that to please others then they are a poser. If you define a poser by what they where then all goths are posers and all preps are freaks.
