Friend Zone

A friendly type of "rejection" when one is attempting to cultivate a romantic relationship with another. The person will call you a "brother" or a "friend," and say they can't feel anything but platonic energy with you. Usually this happens to men who pursue a woman they're attracted to...but it generally can happen to anybody.

So, this is what he said last night: "I love that I can talk to you about anything. You're not like other women. I could never say this to(insert love interest's name here). But you...you're just like one of the guys. A real friend, you know?" Six months of pursuing this guy, only to be...accepted...into the friend zone.

Friends with benefits

friends who do couple things like hugging and kissing and holding hands but aren't in an official relationship. They can make their own boundaries for the "relationship" and agree to them as they choose.

Brotherly friend

Your doomed. This is usually said by a girl who likes you as a family member, but not as a partner. Your relationship with this girl is usually over and not likely to turn around, but you can still be close friends. Also refer to 'friend zone'

Girl: "Ok look i like you but as more of a brotherly friend..."

Friends with Perks

A nicer way of saying friends with benefits because you actually care for the person, but not enough to be in a relationship.

I really missing being in a relationship with you, but I think for now we should just be friends with perks, because I still care for you.
