Sus, short for suspicious is an online slang term derived from the video game among us. A multiplayer game where players are bean shaped crewmates wearing space-suits with the only way to define each other is via the suit’s color. The general goal of the game is to complete all tasks and/or eject the impostor. The word sus was likely used after the games launch in 2018, whoever used it first is unknown. Sus has become a meme with the most notable meme being a photo-shopped image of the youtuber Jerma985 with a wide teeth-showing smile with the top caption saying “When the imposter is sus”
