The new excuse for prices of everything going up, though prices of things not delivered by trucks, such as rent or TV streaming/cable is also going up a faster rate in the last year or so than it had the years before, when things had been somewhat steady.
The people making a fortune off the pandemic aren't limited to price gouging items on the internet websites or in stores, they also raise prices for the same TV service for example, and would still cut a few channels from the list of channels you had so that you don't really have any realistic options besides terminating service or paying more. Saying there are a shortage of truck drivers (a problem created by the same people making money off masks/vaccines/medical supplies and restrictions/rules/laws/mandates/guidelines they created) is just another excuse for them to take more money than they already are from people, and give nothing back to them.
