Dancing for real because you arent a drunk fucking bum, who smokes, and who lives off their parents money. Because you are not scene, because the scene kids who end up there and drink are found like radar and killed. All kids willing to say otherwise, are now known as 'scene' cause they cant except others, and cant disipline themselves enough to stop stealing their parents booze, and begging the guy right in front of jewel to buy them cigarettes. All you scene kid prep retards, can answer to me, and all the true edge kids, and kids who like music that brings upon truth and reality.

That "thing" on the NES game "Uninvited" that pops up and dances across the screen at random times, scaring the living hell out of you every single time.

A form of "dancing" used by pre-pubescent scenesters and older emo/scene eunuchs alike. These people are not true music fans, they go to shows to be seen by their friends. This display of jackassery annoys the piss out of true fans, who end up beating the scenesters to bloody pulps between sets. These kids don't have the nuts to mosh.
At the Dream Theater/Opeth/3/Between the Buried and Me concert yesterday, the mosh pit started when some asswipe's slam dancing connected with a Dream Theater fan. The true fans around beat the slam dancers down mercilessly.

Though its original creation is unknown, hardcore dancing involves hardcore kids wearing girls jeans kicking, flailing, and otherwise brutally assailing the air (or bystander on occassion). Hardcore dancing developed because punk is dead (and gay) and hardcore dancing is much more entertaing than pits.

What hardcore and some emo kids do when they go to metal shows. It consists of randomly swinging their arms and kicking in random directions. The point of these people is so that true metalheads have a reason to be pissed off and therefore mosh harder. A new game has arisen in the metal scene called "Who owns slam dancers the hardest."
"Those kids are slam dancing. Lets stomp them."
