The Asgardsrei festival mainly hosts several underground black metal / heavy metal bands. The festival took its name from 1999 album released by Absurd, a notable German pagan black metal band. Asgardsrei festival was founded by Alexey Levkin, and organized by Militant Zone record label. It is often associated with the NSBM scene.
