(Used to be referred as bad luck or a curse back then but now is more frequently used as “calling it “ before it occurs
Josh: We are going to be late to the party!
Alex: If we leave right now we should get there by 9:30 still
*arrives at party as exactly 9:30*
Josh: You jinxed it bro lol
“I hope I don’t get pulled over today because i still don’t have a license”
*proceeds to get pulled over and gets a ticket*

jinx is a game, useally played by little kids it can happen at anytime its diffrent from where you come from for some people you just say "you owe me a soda" or you wont be able to talk untill someone says your name, but back in my day it was a lot diffrent people used to take jinx seriously if someone said jinx you had 15 seconds to tag them if you dont they point at you and call you a very bad word this can range from "cunt ni@#$&" to "poopyhead" also no one would punish them for such vulger language since theyed just say "welp you shoulda taged him/her" anyways if you talked before someone said your name you get bad luck forever u guess or until you win a jinx

Jinx is a nickname given to that tall, easy-going person, who seems to always get the girls. They are incredibly intelligent, and musically talented.
Person A - they've got a date this weekend.
Person B- that's Jinx for ya.
The kind of person that is super likeable. They have a personality that everyone just vibes with and they are always saying the right things. They're very funny and brighten up your entire day even when life sucks. They're shy at first but once they are comfortable with you, you'll see that meeting them was the best thing that's ever happened to you.
