Spirit of Truth

a hilarious video from the 90's featuring a black "preacher" who read off of a Bible that looks like a phone book, claimed to "come in the name of Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit," cussed almost every other word, and accused the callers of being devil worshippers. also noted for its weird camera work and great dialogues with his audience. it's an ABSOLUTE must-see footage.

the devil is a muthafuckin liar, so you know i ain't worried, BIOTCH!

listen and appreciate the words of the Spirit of Truth.

My Truth

Bullshit, a "Lie." Often associated with people who are not telling the truth, when they have no defense to back themselves up. Often the choice of words when a horrible liar is confronted with their own stupidity.

My Truth

Pretentious substitute for "non-negotiable personal opinion."

Often used by academics, this is a convenient phrase for avoiding arguments because people can contradict your opinion but not your "truth."

The phrase is often used when seeking to justify a controversial personal stance or action because people are not allowed to argue with "your truth."

Gertrude: I'm leaving my husband. He is a really good, faithful guy and all, but I just don't love him anymore. It was a tough decision, but I have to stand in My Truth!"

Sharon: You are so brave! I'm so proud of you for being true to yourself ! Stay strong, sister!"

Truth key

"Truth key" is to be used when a person(s) is believed to be lying. If the person lies on a truth key - the penalty is harsh as they are sure to get AIDS. No one want's AIDS, so no one lies.

"Mate, I slept with that blonde behind the bar" - Person A

"Truth key" - Person B

"No, I didn't" - Person A

True Truth

True truth is not relative but absolute. True truth is true even if we don't think it's true. In other words, true truth is always true. To be used in agreement with something/someone.

Used to agree with someone/something.
ie.
Person1: Brooklyn Decker is so hot.
Person2: True truth. She is so totally hot.

Truthful hyperbole

1. An exaggeration so big that it creates a black hole no truth can enter
2. Bullshit

Apple salesman: The iPhone 7 has every feature anyone could possibly want!
Jason: Bullshit, what about the headphone jack?
Mike: Chill, he's just using a truthful hyperbole.
Jason: So, bullshit?
Bob: Sounds like bullshit to me.

Ministry of truth

Something that existed under Stalin and was discussed in George Orwell's 1984.

The disinformation governance board is supposed to behave like the ministry of truth. You should be concerned, very concerned.
