Op Ivy

The shorter name for the 80s ska/punk band Operation Ivy. Members include Jesse, Lint, Matt and Dave. After two years, and 185 shows, including their infamous laundromat show, and their show in the middle of nowhere where one person turned up, Operation Ivy called it quits.

Ivy hour crushed her. Rejected from Cornell, Yale, Brown & UPenn; wait-listed at Columbia .. it seemed her future was bleak, until it didn't exist anymore. :o

The greatest sobbing for teens aged 17-18 occur at ivy hour - crying, rejected kids across the nation (and some international kids too).

Many host cities of Ivy League schools are being taken over by the university's. They are buying up property's and the local residents are being pushed out. Locals call it a bad case of poison ivy.

The eminent domain of Columbia university case in West Harlem is a side effect of "poison ivy".
