Wiki-dumbass

Someone that is always trying to one-up you with his latest gleanings from wikipedia. Unfortunately, he is usually wrong, butting into the conversation, or giving unrelated or unwarranted information.

During a conversation between person A and person B, person C will jump in with, "Oh you didn't know that? According to wikipedia..."

Person A responds, "We did know that, but we weren't really talking about that, anyway. Thanks Wiki-dumbass!"

wiki-web

Where one goes on Wikipedia and searches a topic then they click on a hyper-link within that topic and read about that topic and keep clicking on hyper-links and so on. thus making your self caught in a wiki-web.

I'm sorry I was late, I was up last night on Wikipedia reading about hippies then I clicked on a hyper-link about LSD and then I clicked on another about Tye dye shirts, i just got caught in a wiki-web.

Wiki Trap

The horrible conundrum of being stuck on a Wikipedia page after hitting the back button a considerable amount of times.

So I looked up Vegeta's Wiki page and now I'm stuck in this Wiki Trap.

wiki-cruise

Noun or Verb

1. A vacation in an often exotic or far away area of the world, but only via the internet.

2. To check something out on wikipedia, often in a drive-by, casual or cursory fashion.

I'm too poor to go on an actual cruise to Fiji, but I totally went on a wiki-cruise, and have been telling people at work that I've been there! I even took a few generic photos of me at the beach and have been playing it up like they're Fiji on facebook with facts about the food, animal life and whatnot.

- or -

The GNP of Bolivia? One sec, let me wiki-cruise it.

wiki blue

If you copy and paste a large chunk of text off Wikipedia into Word or Publisher, you get alot of blue stuff around the words, as if someone has highlighted them in light blue pen.

"I'm not accepting this piece of homework, there's wiki blue all over it."

Wiki spree

When you go to Wikipedia for some reason, end up clicking one link, then another, then another, until hours has passed and you have no idea what you first came to read about. This realization is usually followed by futile attempts to retrace the steps in your mind.

I just went on a mad Wiki spree! I was on Wikipedia to read about the Seychelles, then an hour later I found myself reading about the history of erotic depictions, PDA, and the demographics of China! I have no idea how I got there :(
