the term metal head can refer to:
1. Someone who listens to crappy metal music and nothing else, and thinks that any other music is totally not hardcore enough for them. They often wear black hoodies and black tees with the names and logos of their awful bands on them.
2. The race of monsters that serve as the co-main antagonists of Jak II and Jak 3. Only two, Kor and Kaedan, have ever spoken and shown any sign of intellect, but somehow they are all more intelligent than the metal music fans that they share their name with.
Alix: So are we going to listen to that new album you bought in the car?
Jess: Naw, my brother's driving and he's a metal head and won't let me play anything that isn't 'hardcore' when he's around.
Bob: So are you into <name of band that doesn't suck>
Arsehole: No way, I'm a farking metalhead, I won't listen to that sorta pussy trash!

A sub genre of metal, in which insturments such as synthesizers, keyboards, and turntables are used. Long song lengths and no vocals are a staple of Tech Metal. Most tech metal has slowly-paced guitar riffs paired with fast-paced drums. Having the synthesizer follow the guitar note for note is another staple of this offshoot of heavy metal.
Although few bands partake in the genre of Tech Metal, the most notable is T13, a local Edmonton band.

where to start with a metal head
They think that "metal" is the only form of music. Some (not all) are complete wankers who will rip the shit out of any other forms of music like pop-rock/emo dismissing it for shit, or "not proper music", which of course is bullshit. Try to ruin rock festivals like Download by asking for all metal bands, angrily throwing bottles of piss and hurling abuse at "other forms of rock" acts, E.g anything pop-rock. Which competely screws up perfectly good festivals. But that is not all metal heads, as I say its only some. A metal head :They have long greasy black hair, like to mosh, and own wardobes full of Slayer t-shirts.
