beat the dead horse

An instance in which the "beater" of the horse will continue to try and make amusing comments until either
A.) Somebody makes a "pity laugh" (this is usually the person who originally told the joke) or:
B.) Everyone leaves.

This is a common occurrence when a moderately funny person loses their game, and is convinced that they are not off of their game.

The perfect example of beat the dead horse.

MD: "Yo wassup homeslice! I was just chillin like a felon up in hurr."

JK: "thats great..."
MD: "You know what else is great? My dick!" (MD laughs at his own joke, hoping others will too.)
WH: "shut the hell up mark youre not funny"
JB: "Whack! Whack! Whack! Neeeiiigh!!"
MD: "Peace out haters"

The Joys of Midwife Beating

Before you join our little club, you cannot beat midwives with impunity.

If we allow you to join and induct you, you will be granted your Totin Chip, whereby you may beat midwives with impunity. Reducing their faces to rubble and hamburger.

It's a guy thing.

The Joys of Midwife Beating make the world a sunny place!

Beat your face

Condescending Army term for telling someone to do push-ups.

Its usually used by a higher-ranked person toward a lower-ranked person for punishment. Wouldn't usually be used during PT, you'd tell someone "beat your face" if you caught them red-handed doing something stupid.

Rarely used by officers when dropping a sergeant for push-ups because of its condescending tone, its almost exclusively directed toward lower ranked enlisted when they fuck up.

Platoon Sergeant: What the fuck are you doing walking around outside without your cover (hat/beret) on you dipshit?
Soldier: Uh... uh... no excuse sergeant?

Platoon Sergeant: BEAT YOUR FACE

I still beat

is a slang phrase used by guys in arguments with women that they've had sex with. It is genuinely regarded as the ultimate comeback to any insult a woman could use against a man she's had sex with, implying that despite the man's flaws, the woman still slept with him.

Becky: Fuck you Don you're a bitch
Don: I still beat tho

Tiger Beat Screamo

A brand of music popularized by MTV, Clear Channel Communications, and teen magazines such as Tiger Beat. It is more commonly referred to as "emo," a misnomer in actuality.

The genre's sound often contrasts nasally, melodic vocals with high-pitched screaming, with traditional pop rock chord progressions and structure for the instrumental portion. It's Good Charlotte meets Hatebreed, sometimes with a little Queen thrown in when they're feeling kinky. Lyrical subject matter is confined to teenage romance, vampire romance, and teenage vampire romance.

Arguably, the most unifying factor among Tiger Beat Screamo bands is fashion sense, which incorporates various different trends originating in suburban super-store Hot Topic. KISS facepaint and the color black are consistent staples. Fashion sense is the easiest way to distinguish Tiger Beat Screamo from MTVemo.

Bands of this genre include My Chemical Romance, Panic at the Disco, and exactly 73% of the Victory Records catalog.

"Please don't play any Tiger Beat Screamo, you're 24 years old."
