To send more than one message to a person before they have a chance to reply, making the sender seem needy. The sender often doesn't understand that the receiver probably cant reply because they cant get to their phone at the moment, so repetitive messaging is pointless.
When I switched on my phone I had five messages from Sam. Serious repetitive text bombardment.

during a conversation through text messages the other person in the conversation abruptly stops replying to your texts. named because the Beastie Boys were known to let beat drop similarly there are many persons that are known to let the text drop

A text ad-lib is an improvised way of saying something random in a conversation. Just like how rappers improvise and use ad-libs in a song, it is an optional way of communicating differently that can be used to change the subject
Person 1:”For real though what’s going on”
Person 2:”Tap in 🙈📲”
Person 3:”Stop with the text ad-libs man what’s the point of those”
