It has a specific set of jargon; for example, users refer to each other as "faggots" or "fags," and off-base or unpopular ideas are characterized as "gay." PPMB fosters the stupidity, hypocritical high-mindedness, and navel-gazing of its users.

I was on the Pop Punk Message Bored today. I bet it's hard for its members to maintain so many fake accounts just to create the illusion of support and appreciation for their terrible bands.

Oh, I know that site. It makes me cringe when they attempt to have serious discussions on there. If they want to be able to communicate their ideas clearly and want people to take their ideas seriously, maybe they should have buckled down in their high school social studies, history and English composition classes. Instead, they post any old serious-sounding crap and are embarrassingly earnest about it. It's sad, really.

Pop/punk is a kind of punk with a very melodic sound. Bands that are pop/punk are
Screeching Weasel, NOFX, Riverdales, 88 Fingers Louie, The Ramones, and Rancid. Good Charlotte, Mest, blink-182, Simple Plan, McFly, Busted etc; are not pop/punk. They are power pop.
Rancid is a good pop/punk band.

Any makeshift earplugs. They can be fashioned from toilet paper, cigarette butts, tampons, bullets, gum, or just nothing at all; and typically don't work very well. Sometimes worn only after years of loud music and sustained hearing loss causes an adjustment of habits.

We all know you have these in your town. The 'odd one out'. A black human being who is demonstrating their 'uniqueness' by shopping at Hot Topic, galavanting around with the white kids who have mohawks.
they come complete with spikes on their jacket, lace-up stomp boots, and custom made band shirts. The classical black kid makes fun of these PRNS. You kinda feel bad. But then you laugh.

This is what I am. It may sound a little contradictory, but most things in life are. I listen to Ska, Punk, Goth, and Emo music, and dress in a vivid mixture of these fashions. Someone like this will gravitate towards certain kinds of Ska, with a cheerful, lively tune and horns, but with quite morbid lyrics.See some Reel Big Fish and quite a bit of Mustard Plug. Contrary to what many people will tell you, the lifestyles of Gothicism and Emo are not just something that a teenager 'decides' to be. Anyone who decides to be Emo or Gothic is a poser, though they are most likely real if they started out badly, as something like a Chav or Prep, and then slowly progressed toward being a Goth or Emo over a period of years, usually without them even noticing until it's happened in full. And by then it is too late, and they have joined our ranks. A Rudie is NOT the same thing as a Chav or Pikey. They are completely different, and all you need to be a Rudie is a love for Ska and that rude attitude n_n.
Punk/Goth/Emo/Rudie.
