The objects of demonization need not have any connection with historical or ideological National Socialism or agree with its aims. A modern variant is "neo-Nazi".

Well originally it was a shortened version of national socialist but now it gets thrown around more than a baseball at a baseball game, it generally means a country who hates other countries for no good reason and like want to exterminate the population of those countries
For example: Israel is a nazi regime
