Similar to a leap of faith. A person uses a word when having heard it used once or being unsure of the actual meaning.
Can be very embarrassing when someone else points out the actual meaning of the word.
Guy1: Did you hear? Bob's got a walk in closet.
Guy2: I wish i had a walk in closet
Everyone: lol

First of all, I thought finger quotes were with two fingers, not all of them--you have creepy finger quotes.
His creepy finger quotes make me feel uncomfortable, and therefore I need a restraint order.
Wow, he has a really intriguing Oratory, regardless of how he performs his creepy finger quotes.
Perhaps that kid just doesn't have enough coffee in his system to perform normal finger quotes...those are just creepy finger quotes.

Similar to the standard air quotes gesture however you use the Spock hand formation and only use it to describe scientific or technical quotes.
I would have called bullshit on his string theory explanation however he did use Spock air quotes so I’m pretty sure he is correct.

A longer version of quoting of a person's saying. People frequently uses this mostly because they liked what the person said. Most of the people uses He/She said, but this is just a longer version. Mostly used in books, etc.
He said, and I quote: "Damn! The pizza is too hot!"
She said, and I quote: "I SHIT YOU NOT"
