A person who is fake as fuck. An airhead. Boarderline retarded . A true back stabber. They think you're their friend but then talk shit behind your back. A person who despises the life they made for themselves and tries to live yours . They think they're your friend but in all reality they're you worst enemy . They'll steal all your friends and do anything to make your life more difficult .

if you can remember a time before the word chav became 'cool' and 'hip' for the BBC and other middle class/aged establishments to use, you may remember a time when a townie ruled the working class streets. they are
rude
aggressive
utterly unable to string a fully pronounced sentance together
wearing fake desinger clothing (ie FCUK/BURBERRY)
they hate moshers
when i say moshers though, i should clarify, the usual interpritation of a mosher is morbid, industrial loving grease monkeys who worship the devil and hang around gravestones. ok you may think im being a bit stereotypical, but this is what everyone thinks we are in the end! whereas a townies interpritation is anyone who

in short i hate townies because they are narrow minded and stereotypical. but then again i am judging a group of people before i know them so im just as bad but dont wear fakes or steal/ intimidate.

Someone who never leaves the town/city they were born in. Generally townies:
1) Live in the town/city their whole life
2) Have the same friends from the local high school they attended and root for the high school sports
3) Doesn't leave the town for college
4) Marries another townie who together have children who attend the same schools they did and become townies
5) Think there is no better place to live besides their town
6) Attend high school parties well into their twenties
Kid 1: Hey look its that guy who's always hammered and at the football games.
Kid 2: Oh ya, hes been friends with my parents since high school. He's a complete townie.

a early form of chav as they dressed the same as chavs they smoked the same as chavs and drunk the same as chavs but unlikechavsthey didnt use bother when starting they just sat thier and didnt cause too much bother

The origanal definition of "townie" was somebody who lived in a town and didnt understand vilage life. In this modern day and age a townie is sombody who swears compulsivly, wears burberry and lots of sports lables.
A female townie wears: lots of foundation, burbaerry scarf, addidas trainers.
A male townie wears: burberry hat, addidas trainers.
One word for anybody who thinks of becoming a townie (and please dont, there are enough of them in this word already) its all about the BLING! And by this i mean sovereigns and very big gold chains. You will have to listen to crap like 50 cent and Beyonce. You must smoke and lose your virginity at about 9.
to be a townie=to be townyish

A townie is a cacka who thinks he/she is 'in' they say completely made-up words like
'mush', 'innit' and 'bruv'
they are often incredibly un-intelligent and wear fake burberry or cheap sports jackets and caps. They also tend to wear these caps at almost vertical angles on their heads.
Townies are also often completely deaf:
(a townie is walking along in his 'crew' and a group of skaters walk past)
Skater1:(shouts) Townie!!
Townie1: Wha' d'ya call me??
Skater2: He called you a townie duh
Townie2: Wha' d'ya call i'm?
