Current Events (CE)

A board on GameFAQs with actual, intelligent discussions, unlike Life, the Universe, and Everything. You don't need a high user level to get in, but you can't get in initally either.

I asked how to play Thirteen on CE, it worked; I asked on LUE, no one responded.

Random Event Day

Random Event Day lasts from January 1st to December 31st each year, and during this period you are allowed to beat up anyone who thinks that random arbitrary event days listed on UrbanDictionary are legally binding, have mandatory participation, warrant any legitimacy at all, are funny, or otherwise recognise their existence beyond a level of thinking they're stupid.

Extra punishment is allowed if someone posts a screenshot of the definition of an "event day" onto Discord with some ominous or victorious music.

People who post about events such as Beat a Furry Day, Hug a Furry Day, Discord User Day, and all other similar event days are eligible for beating as per the specifications of Random Event Day.

Person 1: The random Chimp event ain't real.
Person 2: But random simp event is probably gonna be true someday.

Laundry Event Horizon

The point at which one can no longer avoid doing the laundry.

i.e. all shirts & skivvies are past the 3-day inside-out rule; and all your pants & socks are funk-starched to the point of standing on their own. You are past the laundry event horizon.

Cash Event Horizon

Used in Role-playing videogames to reference the point at which the game becomes easy to play based on the character's experience and strength.

In such games, one gains gold by fighting monsters, performing tasks, and occasionally by randomly foraging in the world. The gold is then used to purchase armor, weaponry and training, making it easier to fight larger monsters, who hold more gold, and so on.

Every game has a point where one has gained so much gold from one's adventures that one can afford any item in the game, making the character exceedingly strong, and rendering all opponents ineffectual. This point is the cash Event Horizon. Usually, the later in the game this point appears, the more challenging the game is.

The Cash Event Horizon of "Beet Farming Tycoon" is real low - after five hours of play you've got so much money you don't know what to do with it.

Main event boner

When casual mixed martial arts fans obsess over the winner of the weekend main event for days, and then nearly forget the fighter who participated exists shortly after.

i cant wait till twitter gets over their main event boner and shuts up about how great francis is.
