Linked somewhat to the thrash metal band Slayer who are viewed by metalheads as one of the best. The term slay means that something is awesome such as a song or a band.

In order to "Slay", you have to reach an intended goal, do really great at something, look really great, or you "Slayed" which means you previously did something of the definition of slay.
Person 1: "You know Hope? Yeah, they slayed that walk"
