A way of making sense of the world. Often religions invole a higher power i.e. God. It is easier to leave your problems to a higher power rather than to solve them yourself. As life got more complicated for humans, we developed religion out of laziness. The existance of religion today can be attributed to ignorance, laziness, tradition, and the need for a sense of purpose.
The major religion in America is Christianity.

An organized system of belief in gods, angels, spirits, and/or other supernatural entities. A large number of idiots think that religion is the source of all the world's problems. A smaller group of even bigger idiots believe it is the answer to all the worlds problems.
