spam scam

A replacement of ground pig entrails and body parts with the entrails and body parts of a domesticated farm animal of another species not in accordance with SPAM(tm) or USDA specifications.

Oy vey, I should have known it was a spam scam at those prices and the "Product of Saudi Arabia" written on the lable.

name scam

It what you call it when you and you're buddies have finally just come up with cool nicknames for a legendary mated pair or couple within your circle, and then they break up, so to retaliate you and your buddies think of crappy nick names to give each separate half of the couple as individuals in hopes that they'll get back together, and you'll be able to use their couple nick names again.

Lester: Where are Itchy and Scratchy, you know cause he always has some kind of rash from his jewellery and she's always mangling him up with her nails.
Fester: We can't call them that anymore. They broke up.
Lester: Dammit. Last time I think up cool nick names for them, from now on I'm calling them Hair and No Hair.
Fester: That might even motivate them to get back together.
Lester: Now you know the plan.
Fester: The name scam, I love it.

double grat scam

A restaurant server not informing their guest that a gratuity has already been posted to their check (as is policy in many establishments on tables of 6 or 8 or more guests), thereby the guest tips again not realizing it has been included, resulting in the waiter receiving, basically, a double gratuity.

Yeah, but that made his night. Ahhh, the double grat scam...

Website similarity scam

A website similarity scam is a scam where the website where you usually buy your supplements is a real website and is a dot com website and the fake website will have a dot biz on it and be a fake website. And they end up not selling you the supplements and instead taking the money and that of a few other people and then shutting down the website.

Modafinil XL dot com (Real with the guy in sunglasses, but on the second page of Google when it's usually on the first page): Buy Modafinil!
Tyler: *Searches up Modafinil XL.

Modafinil XL dot biz (fake with the guy in a mask, but on the first page): Buy Modafinil TM!

Tyler: I guess this is the website.

*gives money through PayPal.

*2 months later and no Modafinil.
Tyler's brother Josh: Yo Tyler, I found the REAL website. The other website was a fake website and a scam. A website similarity scam!

Check cashing scam

A check cashing scam is when someone tells you a fake sad story about a financial situation and then asks do you bank at a certain bank. The scammer often stands there looking for people who come out of banks. Then they asks where you bank. Then they say let's go deposit the check and then when you deposit the check at the machine, the amount of money goes up temporarily. Then they say let's withdraw some money at a time until the check clears. Then you try to buy something with a debit card and it says insufficient funds. You check your bank and it's too late, it's near zero. Then you suspect something is not right. Then someone you know said you were scammed. You were a victim of a scam.

Tyler: I just deposited money into my bank! I think I'll pay that debt I owe the gym then buy supplements.

Stanger tall black guy who looks normal: Help. I have financial trouble. The bank doesn't want to cash my check. Could you cash my check. I'll pay you.
Tyler: Sure.

Black guy scammer: Just add the check to the machine and then I will withdraw money.
Tyler: *logs in to the bank account. With $121.50
Black guy scammer: *secretly watches your bank account amount.

Tyler: Deposits check.

*Numbers go up to $920 but only temporarily because it's a fake check.
Black guy scammer: Now take out $120 dollars.

Look it's a picture of my son and daughter.

*shows picture.

I'll be back tomorrow for the rest of the money. (Not really, or maybe to steal this time without the scam).
Tyler: *Takes out money and pays the guy.
Tyler: Tries to pay a gym debt.

*card says insufficient funds.

Tyler: *runs to bank.
*$1.50
Tyler: Crap!
*Goes home
Tyler's brother Josh: You got scammed! It was a check cashing scam.
