ISS - Internet Search Psychosis

Fundamental derangement of the mind characterized by defective or lost contact with reality especially as evidenced by delusions, hallucinations, and disorganized speech and behavior onset by Internet searching. Subject will conclude search results and the people, places and things within the results are linked. While in reality these findings are largely due to coincidences, not to be confused with coincidencialism

“It says Nancy Smith is 35 years old from California, it must be my long lost aunt Nancy Smith.”

He must have Internet Search Psychosis, he thinks every time someone says his name on Twitter that they're speaking to him directly.

Internet Insider Syndrome

Internet Inside Syndrome (ISS for short) is an internet phenomenon where internet cultures and social groups develop inside jokes and humor that are nonsensical to outsiders. This disparity can rift groups and individuals apart that don't share the same comedy or understanding, with the observer perceiving the group or person as low-cultured or strange.

An example is a recurring joke in Stan Twitter culture about Beyoncé locking up Sia in her basement. Another is a surreal humor genre consisting of language and images violating common sense and reasoning called Gen Z Humor.

Internet User A: Internet User B, What do you want for Christmas, just curious?
Internet User B: I'm really craving for some B E A N S .
Internet User A: Chile, you've got some from Internet Insider Syndrome. Periodt. 💅

Internet Male Syndrome

A Male Internet user who tries to distinguish himself as a picky opinionated person, especially in the field of observing women. When in actuality they are very desperate for women, and would fuck anything. Also said male is typically very unattractive himself.

It was obvious Trevor had Internet Male Syndrome when he observed a semi attractive girl and immediately disregarded her as hideous, despite her being out of his league

Older than the Internet

Any internet meme or phenomenon which was both popular enough and has been around long enough that a random sampling of the Internet population would likely produce a majority of individuals who have already heard about it and moved on. Even though the subject of the meme may indeed be older than the inception of the World Wide Web, the phrase always refers to the meme itself.

The word "older" thus implies the use of hyperbole, because an Internet meme obviously cannot be older than its own medium of proliferation.

The phrase is most often invoked when said meme is regurgitated by n00bs who are taking their first wild drive on the "Information Superhighway"; or by idiots who refuse to admit that the meme is just no longer amusing.

Variations include: "As old as the Internet" or playfully misspelled: "Older than teh Interwebs"

Guy #1: "all your base are belong to us!"
Guy #2: "LOL! We get signal!"
Guy #3: "Main screen turn on!"
Guy #4: "I hope you lame-asses realize that AYB is older than the internet. GTFO."

n00b: "... and if you open it up, you get thirty-two double-A sized batteries! Check out this video if you don't believe me."
dude: "Don't tell me you actually believe that crap. That hoax is older than teh Interwebs."

PHB: "Can you change the email link here to one of those 3D spinning e's? 3D is the future, you know."
Underling: "Sir, 3D may be the future, but the spinning e animated GIF is as old as the Internet."
