The word calabrese refers to a member of an indigenous tribe, native of the southern part of Italy (yes... the country with pizza, pasta and mafia). For their behaviour, they are often confused with primates, like apes and monkeys. For their chimpanzee-like status they were deeply discriminated during the 80s of the last century by other members of Terronia. But after tough battles for their rights, they were able to acquire the italian citizenship. This event passed into history as "monke rights matter".

Thos who derive from Calabria, The southern most region of the Italian mainland. They are more like Sicilians then northern Italians. Both have the dark skin, dark hair and very similar dialects.
