im gonna sound really bad when i say this, but i will say what i must. Though the catholic church is amongst the oldest forms of christian belief, it is also the most tainted and dark form. Not the Orthodox catholic, but the roman catholic (sorry!). It was because of the Roman Catholic church, that thousands of Native American tribes went extinct. It also lead to the enslavement of blacks and the colonization of the Orient. Soon, the will to spread the word of God became malevolent will and avarice. Also, the Roman Catholic church praises the pope as God's interpreter, no man can choose for the world the meaning of the scripitures, no matter how pure he is...

to be transformed through a systematic education in the tenants of catholicism; a giving in to the faith and principles professed by the Roman Catholic Church. Subservient to an esoteric principle of faith. Convinced.
Too often have I seen really good people catholicized to the point that they can no longer find happiness. Their guilt rules over their lives and their faith gets the best of them.

Derogatory term referring to religious individuals who follow the Catholic faith and pick and choose which doctrines of the Church they wish to follow and which ones they don't.

Pickin the Catholic doctrines you like, ignoring the ones you don't. Generally frowned upon by the Church.
Ben Doverman accepts that God will forgive him for anything through Reconciliation, but doesn't believe contraceptives are a sin, therefore he is contributing to smorgasbord Catholicism.
