coug it

Expression used at the University of Washington to describe the manner in which the Washington State University loses (predominately) football games. Generally, the Cougars compile a healthy lead only to completely fuck it all up late in the game, especially in the Apple Cup. It's fucking sweet.

The 2002 Apple Cup was shit until WSU decided to coug it in the 4th. Then it was pretty alright.

coug

To blow a game when victory is almost certain, especially in the 4th quarter. Term made popular by a college football team in the northwest that blows games with consistancy.

WSU couged another one and lost 38-35 after leading by 31 points at the end of the 3rd quarter.
