This is typically a fund-raising function for various beneficial organizations designed to teach young people rudimentary business skills while raising money for their group. Curbies rely on the good nature of the American resident for their success. "This is an important service as Police, Fire and Emergency Services look first to the resident's curb for their homes."
There were many curbies in California at one time, sadly,their numbers are decreasing along with the corresponding loss of civil liberties in America.

A curbie is when a person has a weird bump on their lip. Is it a herpie? Is it cause they lowkey got smacked on the mouth? You really don’t know and don’t want to take the risk so you leave them alone.
