The dozenal system (also known as base-12, duodecimal, or rarely uncial) is a positional notation numeral system using twelve as it's base(instead of 10). The dozenal system is better than the decimal system because 12 has more factors than 10 and fractions are easier to write in base 12, examples of that are 1/3=0.4 ; 1/4=0.3 ; 1/6=0.2; 1/8=0.1; and so on. Dozenalists use the term duodecimal instead of duodecimal, because duodecimal implies base-20, also duodecimal is a decimalist term used mainly by decimalists.

Mostly used in kpop, a dozen is a member of a group who doesn’t add much to the group. It originated as a joke used by fans of NCT to describe a previous member.
