What I need is the bullshit equivalent of a flux capacitor that will take me BACK to the place and time where that was last considered cool....

false equivalence

When used on Reddit or other social media, a claim of false equivalence is not, as one might expect, pointing to a fallacy of inconsistency. Instead, the term is indignant shorthand indicating that the respondent is offended that someone had the audacity to make a comparison that illustrated how ridiculous, unreasonable, and/or stupid the thing they said really was.

Comparing Hitler to Stalin is a false equivalence.

dram equivalent

The amount of powder in a shotgun round. A higher number means more powder, more pressure, higher velocity, and sharper recoil. Loads designed for hunting have higher dram equivalents (3.25 or more), while target shooting loads have lower ones (3 or less). Magnums can reach 4 or more.

Two seemingly identical loads do not have equal recoil. That is because of dram equivalent.

equivalent exchange

Everything and anything can be reversed as long as you replaced it with something that valuable to you or someone else.

Like turning lead to gold you need lead to make something that valuable thats equivalent exchange.

alcohol equivalent

Christian Reconstructionist circles, but hearable elsewhere:

Three criterias:
1: That which has the potential to relieve downheartedness/ wild fatigue. 2: That which can assume a "sparkling" state, at which point it becomes an addictive, nonmedicinary drug!
3 (most commonly): That which impares similar to alcohol.

The list can include: barbituates, cocaine, morphine, TXC (marijuana), and "salt tranqs.", as some Recons call them (most behavioral meds).

Alcohol Equivalent can also refer to how much you have had, relative to a one-ordinary beer average. Mostly, a way that you can measure when to hault the drinking.

"Almost all unlicensed drug and alcohol dealers produce and sell sparkly alcohol and alcohol equivalents to boost sales by starting addicts."

False equivalence

Used when a liberal has absolutely no comeback for your undeniable facts and comparisons. Employed when they have no rebuttal and completely run out of feelings.

Well thats just false equivalence. Explain to me how it is. It just is so your facts are now rendered useless to me
