When someone is being a hermit crab or hermit crabbing they lack the motivation to leave the house. They stay home in solitude and shelter themselves from the rest of the world after they have pushed everyone close away.
Realizing that no one wants me has left me hermit crabbing all day.
I just want to be a hermit grab and shut people out.

The class is infamous in Maple Story, and often considered to be "the most fun class," though such a claim is up to speculation. Someone who stays in their room all day avoiding social interaction because they’re antisocial and have social anxiety. They’re funny and open around their friends but are weirdos and loners around people they don’t know. They also have a low self-esteem. The hermit thinks that everyone is judging them but secretly no one gives a rats ass.
