The best sport known to man. Is played mainly on a rink (ice) but can be played on cement with the aid of rolller blades (not as fun though)It is a physically demanding sport which requires endurance, strength, speed, and also you to be smart. It is better then any other sport by far (opioion)If you don't keep your head up you will get clobbered. There are fights but hockey is not a goon sport. Overall it is a sport that requires athletics and is very intertaining to watch.GO HOCKEY!
Bill: "oh hey george, how you doing, did you see that gopher game last night"
George: "Im pretty good, you?...oh i sure did, the Gophers kicked the shit out of the Souix"
Bill: "Yeah im good thanks.... I know it was great....did you hear though, next year the gopher hockey team is gunna be not as good"
George: "Why is that?"
Bill: "Because 3/4 of the team are being drafted into the NHL because they are sooooooooooo good"
George: "Oh....yeah they are all good because they are all from MINNESOTA: THE STATE OF HOCKEY"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A fast paced, entertaining sport in which all the players have to be skilled and have a high endurance. It's one of the hardest sports to play! That makes me even prouder to be a hocey fan.
Unfortunately, this sport is run by an american who could care less if nobody watches the wonderful game in America. (Hockey isn't broadcasted on ESPN?!)
I don't mean to steriotype amercians, because I know many of them love hockey, but it's ridculously sad what the US is doing to this awesome sport!
Canadian: Did you watch the game last night?!?!
American: No...I couldn't.
Canadian: Oh, that's right. You poor thing, you can't watch because hockey doesn't play on ESPN, the biggest sports channel!!

It's a team MMA fight and everyone has 3 foot wooden(sometimes carbon fiber) sticks! Bring a helmet!

I'm not talking about some heavily padded game where morons slide around on frozen water and think with their fists. I'm talking about HOCKEY. The real hockey. What Americans call "field" hockey. And just before you make some ridiculous claim that "Ice hockey is way better, and has been around longer and is way more popular" check the facts.
1.) Field hockey is an Olympic sport with a world cup.
2.) It's played in North America, South America, Aisa, Australia, and Europe.
3.) It's vastly popular in places like England, The Netherlands, China, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Spain, Argentina, India, Pakistan, The United States, ect.
4.) There are famous field hockey players; Teun De Noojer, Christopher Zeller, Nikki Hudson, ect.
5.) The earliest forms of the game date back to 500BC, and depictions from the ancient Egyptians playing hockey (the real hockey that is) have been discovered.
Oh and before you go saying how "it's a girl's sport", think again. Some of the best players in the world are men. The only reason, the U.S. views it like that is because it was introduced to the country in the early 1900's via an English Woman.

Field hockey player; "Ohhhh, you must mean you play Ice hockey. Cause the real hockey is "field" hockey. But just call it hockey cause that's the name it deserves."

Hockey is the best sport in the world and anyone that thinks different is a soccer player.
