the pioneer band in female Gothic rock bands, jack off jill (joj) is the most likely inspiration for Kittie and perhaps even Otep. they disbanded a while back, with each member doing a few side projects. They have currently resurfaced as Scarling. That release is yet to come(Band Aid covers the Bullet Hole, released as vinyl, for now). JOJ only produced two albums...Clear Hearts Grey Flowers and Sexless Demons & Scars. these two albums were amazing, and can still be bought in a few places. All in all, JOJ is an amazing band that had much potential, and will most likely make a powerful comeback in their latest incarnation.

Jack Off Jill are nothing like goth rock. They are girly metal, good girly metal at that.

a band from south florida, not sure if theyre still around. they were from around the time marilyn manson was gettin started down here too, when they calld themselves 'Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids"

Jessicka wanted to call the band Jack In Jill but after a drunken night out with Marilyn Manson, he persuaded her to call it Jack Off Jill... think i got that from jessicka.com great site loads of pictures. But yeah they are my favourite. Ive not really heard any of Scarlings stuff. JOJ broke up in 2002 after tensions between band members (apparently robin and jessicka). They never topped the charts or headlined anything (which is a good thing i guess) but they were amazing and jessicka has such a great voice.

An awesome alternative/ rock/ riot grrl band. They had two albums, Sexless Demons and Scars (1996) and Clear Hearts Grey Flowers (2000). It was founded in 1992 by Jessicka Addams when she was only 16. She used to write lyrics for songs before that. The original band line up was Jessicka Addams, Agent Moulder, Tenni Ah-Cha-Cha and Michelle Inhell.
They broke up in 2000 due to opinion differences.
