Any moment in a video game where you are unable to progress the main story because of a horribly obscure objective that must be completed to trigger the next event.
Popularized by the youtuber dunkey while talking about the Metroid video game series. Earlier games of the 90's had progression walls such as this that artificially lengthened the gameplay time by forcing the player to explore every area of the game in order to figure out what to do next.
Person 1: Remember in Ocarina of Time when you had to bomb the small Goron as adult Link to get to the fire dungeon? I had to call the tips line to figure out that I had to even do that in the first place.
Person 2: Ahh. Sounds like a real Metroid Moment.

A very good game, with revolutionary level design..which unlike most games, levels are not friggin SYMETRICAL!!Surprisingly many games use symetrical level designs. It won awards for that so don't argue
The best friggin game of 2002; It is my intention to play metroid prime for several hours

A completely sweet game for the Super Nintendo. Tons of hidden stuff, satisfying puzzles, & rippin' action, it's almost like a sci-fi cousin of the Legend of Zelda games.
Super Metroid is the third game in the Metroid series after the old NES one and the very hard but excellent Game Boy sequel.Nintendo at its classic best.

A great game; which is ironic, because during the months before its release, Nintendo's decision to develop a next-gen Metroid game as an FPS earned the hatred of millions of fanboys, and it was the running joke on every forum. Then when the game came out, they realized it was the best thing they had ever played.
Metroid Prime + GameCube = Joy
Metroid Prime 2 + GameCube = More Joy
Metroid Prime (Hunters) + DS = PWNAGE.

An excelent game for the Nintendo Game Cube platform and an excellent homage to the meny previous games in the series. While the game is different in control and appearance (being set in an immersive 3d world) it fully captures the feel and greatness of the other 2d platform games in the series.
Metroid Prime is easily one of the greatest games to be released on the Game Cube.
