palin (v.) - to avoid a question by reciting an idea unrelated to the question
Comes from the Governor Sarah Palin. In debates and interviews she would avoid questions.
Lucian: Did you catch the debate last night?
Emma: No, why?

To respond to a question with a random talking points having little to no bearing on the question being asked; in the style of VP candidate and Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. (also a noun describing a response like this.)
Q: How should the United States deal with the economic crisis?
A: John McCain is a maverick, and Alaska has oil...

- "dude, nice palin" - said after your friend says something stupid to a girl
- "it was a real palin moment" - said after a lady has a conversation with a stupid red neck
- 'wow, i really palin'ed that one' - said after 9 putting 2 feet away from the hole

When a person with a public voice makes a vocabulary blunder. Usually creating a whole new word, ie; "misunderestimate". Then after being called on the mis-speech, they claim to be right, or "selfjustified".

adjective used to describe a person underqualified for a given task. Also used to denote an idiot, or small-town redneck.

A common idiot (usually female) who runs for high political office in early 21st-Century America. A "Palin" often looks like a deer caught in headlights, and rarely answers questions in anything but a moronic fashion. Also resorts to pseudo-patriotic rhetoric and frequently slanders her opponents based on racial and ethnic stereotypes.
Have you seen this Palin running for VP? What an idiot!
