The act of promising to propose before actually proposing for marriage.
Can be used as a noun as well.

I'm going to prompose to Alexandra to let her know it will happen... eventually.

The promposal will be on Friday!

3. Archaic Characterized by promptness or excessively accurate horologistic displays.

Her Promposity gets us down so much we’ve considered altering her clocks.
