RoC

Abreviation for Rest of Canada

Usually used by Québécois & French-Canadians. This is used to highlight the culturals differences between Québec and usually the western provinces like Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Person 1: Did you see, québec's bill 21 is being brought up in the federal election.
Person 2: It's normal, in order to get deputees in the RoC, you have to do some québec bashing.
Person 1: What's québec bashing?
Person 2: Racism against québécois, except without the racism term because it has a bad connotation.
Person 1: Wow, the RoC are really creative when it comes down to be super-conservative without sounding like a redneck.

ROC

An acronym for the phrase "Routine of Command" pioneered in the short-lived Hulk Hogan action show Thunder in Paradise. A Routine of Command is a series of steps that is taken to prepare Hogan's superboat, Thunder, to activate a special feature of the boat, such as its stealth capability or deployment of its special hydra-thruster to reach speeds of 500 miles per hour.

Martin "Bru" Brubaker: "Starting ROC for hyperspeed."
Thunder (boat): "Hyperspeed Routine of Command activated!"
