Literaly, the gangster family on HBO. The level of writing and acting on this show made just the word "soprano" take on a new meaning; Now when you hear nas say this he means
1: Violently, illegally or aggresively
2: Living a life of this kind

Based on a lot of the characters in the TV Series, The Sopranos and its recurring theme of hypocrisy; someone who preaches good values but commits a series of vices or misdeeds. In other words, someone who is a major hypocrite.
Tony Soprano was enraged with one of his Capos, Ralphie Cifaretto, over him killing a horse, but Tony would eat beef and sausage by the truck load.
That Soprano, David, taught his friends values of commitment to a partner, but he would cheat on his wife by sleeping with different women each night behind her back.
