In cooperative online games, static refers to a group of players that regularly play together--usually on a set schedule. This is different from a guild or alliance as the group is smaller usually no more than five.
1) I don't have time. I have to group with my static in five minutes.
2) We work well together, we should make a static.
Like attitude, or backtalk. Also, resistance or reluctance. Can be used as a verb or noun.
"Hey man, come over here now!"
"No! Just try and make me!"
"Shut up! Don't give me static, man, and get over here."
