Fine Art Assist

(noun) In a photography critique, one participant comes to the aid of a classmate/friend whom is faced with criticism on the composition of one or more of their images. The aide offers a bit of commentary which seems to suggest a deep meaning in the body of work, in order to distract the other participants.

Student 1: The composition in this image is terrible. You cut the person's head off, and the image is underexposed.
Student 2: I have to disagree with you. It is obvious that the photographer was making a conscious effort. The lack of the person's head speaks to their character, as they are afraid to reveal the truth. This person is keeping a secret, and may also be acting as a reflection of the photographer, whom is trying to show how they themselves are lost and cannot stand up confident. The underexposure compliments this virtue, and also adds to the idea that we are all underexposed, and that in order to fully show ourselves, we have to be subjected to public opinion and in some cases, distaste.
Student 3 (quietly to Student 2) : Wow you really saved my ass with that fine art assist!

Fine Arts Center

A really, really, really cool public art school in Greenville, South Carolina...

where you can study part time and still go to normal high school:
audition required

you can take:
visual arts (photography, metals, ceramics, drawing&painting), jazz guitar, dance, drama, music theory, voice, creative writing, chamber music, film&video umm...pretty sure that's it

A bit like the Governor's School for the Arts only much, much chiller and without the "we're so great" attitude and all the gay guys. Also, you don't have to wear mis-matching socks and listen to minimilistic electronica to fit in at the FAC.

There's a mix of arty, emo, nerds, scene kids, hipsters, grunge kids, hippies, kids from the 'hood, preppies, goths: everyone is welcome and gets along, etc, etc...

The Fine Arts Center? yah, it's pretty much the chillest place on Earth

Natomas Charter School Performing and Fine Arts Academy

NCS is a school for kids pursuing a career in the arts. Nobody ever fights physically because everybody's artsy and Doesn't really fight so instead of fighting there's tons of drama and back talk. The food there is terrible some of the teachers suck but over all it's a good school and perfect for you if you are interested in the arts. Probably like 85% of the kids that go here go to collage which is pretty good. The school is also pretty good academically and is ahead of most of the other schools in Sacramento/California area even though they sometimes push us too hard. NSC is ranked one of the best schools in California, which explains why all the parents are required to donate 30 hours a year to the school. They can be payed for ($15/hr) or your parents can chaperone something.

I came to Natomas Charter School Performing and Fine Arts Academy because I liked visual arts but now I'm into dance.
