When a person expresses love, interest, or affection for someone or something and the person they are speaking to only says "Ditto", like Patrick Swayze in the movie Ghost.

Ron told his girlfriend he loved her, only to be ghosted by her response of "Ditto".

Ghosting

When someone ignores your text, email, or other message on one platform while they received it and are online and active and on another with the intent of you not knowing it. This applies to anyone not solely someone you were dating. Seeing a read receipt in a text but getting a 'snap' from them the same hour. Getting a Facebook like or IG like after they ignored your text. Seeing them update their status or online on FB messenger without responding. The act of them avoiding you in their most direct form of communication while they are still active on less direct forms.

An emotional state when feeling and emotions pass through you. An emotional state when you have no emotion and you go silent for a long while. To lose empathy, the feeling of a conscience, soul.

To go cold toward people, with a machine and emotionless state of speech, mindset unsympathetic.

To feel as if you dissapeared , no one would care or make a fuss

All if to say "i dont want to care, i dont want to feel feelings and emotions"

To loose ones humanity
