A clan is similar to the mafia family,
Clan name= origional family name
A number of families=a clan
clans are also know as Famlies, other families can become assosiates of the clan by marrying into it but they will never be members or 'family' because you have to be related by blood, clan or family members can be members of a gang structure but the family always comes first, membership of gangs also leads to links or ties between clans.
my mothers mother is the head of the clan because she is decended from the origional founder by blood, this means that i am a member of the family, i am also a 'pure blood member' because i am directly decended from the origional founder, although my father is loved by all in the family, he will never be more than an assosiate because he is not blood related to the clan.

(Gaeilge) Clann, meaning, children, offspring; race, decendants; followers etc
Also in the Scottish Gaelic language (Gàidhlig), same meaning

- A crowd of 'music fans' or groupies, most of which are nothing but high maintenance, controlling, arrogant, self centered, jealous, conniving, conceded, back stabbing, hurtful, hate filled, 2-faced, malicious, miserable, catty, gossiping, mentally unstable, clueless, manipulative, obnoxious, trouble making, demanding, pathologically lying sheep, cowards, and drama queens, who ruin the 'scene' (rather than enhance and promote it), and the great music being played.
NOT to be confused with a REAL 'Clan' - which they often like people to think they are. Also not to be confused with the Klu Klux Klan, even though they have a similar value system.
*Note: The phrase "most of which", is not to be mistaken for "all of which". To think every member of "The Clan" was the same, would be an unfair mistake.
Beware of The Clan, for they will make your life a miserable hell. Stay safe and just buy a CD that you can listen to in the comfort of your own home. Be your own person, and don't let others dictate how to live your life.

A coven of random dorks, either organized locally, as close friends and neighbors, or globally, like halfway across the world.
Their mission? To ruin the fun of casual gamers in mainly FPS shooters like Counter-Strike, Quake, Unreal, etc.
Hours of play behind the screen has given their skin a unhealthy pale complexion.
A common hypothesis for these formations of these "clans", as they may call it, stemmed probably from neglected parenthood.
Casual Gamer (joined a CS server): "Hi!"
Klanner #1: "STFU N00b! We r teh l33t0rz to teh maxx0rz!"
Klanner #2: "Ya u gay azz fagg0t!"

Klanner #1: "Omgz! Lolz! Teh fag0rt has 15-30 kills! Banz!"
