Patriots

The politically correct term for white supremacists-turned-terrorists, or brainwashed conspiracists-turned-extremists, who rationalize that merely holding peaceful protests would not prevent an β€œillegitimate” president-elect who β€œstole the vote” from taking office, much less stop socialism and communism to take root in the country, but mob violence could grant them their political wish.

After the armed insurrection perpetrated by his diehard supporters who broke into the Capitol and changed the American flag with the Trump flag, Donald J. Trump called those rioters and thugs "great patriots."

patriotic

'to be loyal to ones country'
In the USA and UK this seems to mean:
'totally agree with everything your supposed betters tell you and never question authority'

Im patriotic I am, stand up for the national anthem, suport the England team but I really dont like paying my taxes'

patriot

A real patriot is someone who loves their country enough to speak up when they see something that needs to be changed; not someone who blindly assumes that their government knows best and is always right no matter what.

I am a patriot in the real sense of the word, not the post-9/11 "if you don't kiss our government's butt you're not a real patriot" sense.

The Patriots

The 12(or 20, i forget) people who actually run our country. Mention in MGS series. They control all our information using "GW", an internal information system, inside the big shell, or supposed offshore cleaning facility for a tanker crash. The Patriots were once "The Philosophers" in the Cold War, but then branched into the patriots. They control our presidents and wars.

No, its all information screened out by the Patriots.

Patriot

Originally, a patriot was someone who loves their country and supports it, but won't blindly follow whatever their country's government does. These days, it is synonymous with Nationalist, which is someone who blindly follows whatever his country's government does, and lacks his own ability to think and reason for himself.

Many Americans seem to be patriots. More of them are nationalists.
