Slang term for a surf boat rower (traditionally Australian sport).

Boaties are 'generally' fit, fun loving and considered nuts by non boaties for participating in such a mad sport!

They also 'generally' like to drink and participate in silly drinking games.

Noun. Similar in meaning to a booty call. To use someone you do not particularly care for, but put up with nonetheless because of his/her ownership of a boat. Usually made when you are in desperate need of aquatic fun and games and have no boat of your own.
