faux chateau

An overly pretentious, historically inaccurate suburban tract house that co-opts 17c Provencal (French) architectural detailing in order to project an "old world" image and, ostensibly, the cachet and wealth that comes with such an image. Usually fails miserably when two or more houses are placed within 5 feet of one another, often being incompatible styles altogether.

"Wow, that turret next to the 4-car garage really adds curb appeal to your faux chateau, monsieur!" /sarc

"What?! A faux chateau next to an English tudor? Did you know countries fight wars over things like this?!"

Chateau Lott

Robert Lott's trailer in the Ranch Verde mobile home in Rohnert Park, California. Functioned as a drug den and flop house. Also, the scene of a lick that led to a 187.

Tacho: Damn Holmes! I gotta pay taxes to the Big Homey! I need some shards to slang!

Tweety: Kill two birds with one stone! Go over to Chateau Lott and pull a 211! You'll get some lettuce and water!

Le Chateau

Trendy Clothing Store Franchise through-out Canada and one in New York city. Catering to a Younger adult crowd.
The clothes sold are that of a "Classy Nature" and also some more casual items more towards clubbing attire.

Alot of the clothes sold in Le Chateau are european influenced, probably being originally from Montreal(French).

A good example of the clothes sold there, is the "GQ" look.
Crisp Blazers/Striped French cuff dress shirts/Modern Argyle patterns/

Its like a lower-end,less exclusive version of D&G or Armani.
~
Although Prices are high, and clothes are of decent quality, they are nowhere near the quality of High End labels.

Similar stores are Urban behavior, Guess,Diesel,Club Monaco/Mexx more.
(Although most are Internationally known, alot of the latest trends you find at these famous outlets, you can also find at Le Chateau)

"Hey there,I love your Outfit, Where'd you get that"??
**Looks for a label name & Sees none**
"Is it Guess"? nope
"Is it Diesel"? no
"I know, it's Armani"! I wish,but no
"What is it"?!?
"Le chateau baby,..Le chateau"

le chateau

Canadian chain store, based in Montreal. Sells extremely overpriced "classy"-looking clothes (a lot of business suits and the like). Preppy crap is in the front; goth/punk/weird stuff is in the back. They also sell shoes and some nice jewelry (collars, cuffs, fake pearls). Their problem is the ridiculously high prices: for example, a pretty crappily made corset top costs $40 there. I got pretty much the same top at Urban Planet for $20.

Le Chateau is a good store, but they need to lower their prices, so that more people could buy there, and get more weird clothes, as opposed to prep crap.

Chateau ghetto

n. A lifestyle or creed defined by dilapidated elegance.
n. An inexpensive and modern quick fix for classy old architecture.

After 75 years of negligence, the Biltmore house had become very chateau ghetto.

Gretchen patched up her copper rain gutter with duct tape a la chataeu ghetto.

Anal-chateau

When one butt-chuggs the most exquisite wine of the Bordeaux region of Aquitaine.

A red blend is a mild yet bold wine that will augment ones anal-chateau.

Shotgun chateau

Shotgun chateau: a huge new million dollar house built to very edges of a narrow lot (in a neighborhood of modest older homes) that is at least twice as long as it is wide and resembles a shotgun shack on steroids

There goes the neighborhood. That shotgun chateau is jam packed in between two other houses and it’s so narrow that the front door is on the long side
