D-up

Frequently employed for brevity, the term "deal up" undergoes various truncations such as "D-up," "deeup," or "deal up." It denotes an act of transacting or exchanging, encompassing but not limited to commodities or currency. For instance, envision a scenario wherein one concludes a meal at a dining establishment and expresses the desire to depart by suggesting to their companions, "Let us 'D-up.'" This conveys the intention to settle the payment and commence negotiations. Similarly, in the context of a poker game, when an individual ceases their participation, they may inform the dealer of their intent to "D-up." Subsequently, the individual conveys their poker chips to the dealer, who reciprocates by providing an equivalent sum in cash. Origin unknown and dates back to at least 1998.
